March 2014
We’re off to a busy start in 2014. We hope you’re having a great new year so far. It seems like we’re having some very interesting weather at this point this winter – lots of cold mixed with some really beautiful and warm days. Here’s hoping you are catching some of the warm days to enjoy some time with your horse! We invite you to spend some time with us this year. We look forward to seeing you and your horse!
Equine Comeback Challenge

I’m very honored to be invited to participate in the brand-new A Home for Every Horse’s Equine Comeback Challenge. Myself and 9 other trainers were paired with a rescue horse the beginning of January. We now have until the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo to prepare our horses for a trail obstacle course competition to be held at the Expo on Sunday March 9 from 12-2pm. There will be a private treaty sale Saturday March 8 from 7-9pm for the 10 horses. After the competition, on Sunday, the sales will be final.

My horse is April (Ushis April Rein). She’s a Palomino quarter horse mare who will be 15 this spring. We picked her up at DenKai Animal Sanctuary in Grover, Colo., January 4 – in a snow storm. I’ve had a great time getting to know April and am looking forward to seeing all we can accomplish together before the competition. I’m also thrilled to help April prepare for a new life with a new owner who will truly enjoy her. You can follow our journey on my Facebook page ( and here on my website ( Please contact me if you are interested in April for your next riding partner, please contact me.
